Purchase Moyea Video converter for Mac

There are some questions about importing MPG to iMovie I happened when surfed online, and nobody gives the best answers to those people in trouble; now I just choose two of them and try my best to give a favor. Hope it is more or less meaningful for you.

    (1) "I have not used imovie much, but I'd like to play around. I have a Sony DSC-P100 digital point-and-shoot cameral that records video, which I can save to my computer as MPG. However, I can’t seem to use these files in iMovie…"

Reply: Exactly we know the video format of Sony DSC-P100 is MPEG-1; we can save the video files as MPG and play in many players. And we know that iMovie could import video from any file in one of the following formats: MPEG-4, DV, or .mov files. So you need convert MPG files to MPEG-4, DV or MOV. I recommend MOV, for it is the best format for Mac's software, like iMovie, Final Cut Express, Final Cut Pro, Quicktime and more.

    (2) "I have iMovie 6.0.3 – I have a Panasonic Camcorder. It came with ImageMixer3 software – which sadly is the only program I can use to import the videos onto my Mac. I’d love to be able to import them into iMovie directly but it won’t work. Of course, when I bought the camcorder they assured me it would work with a Mac – sigh. The videos are .mpg format – does anyone know how I can get them to open into iMovie?"

Reply: Of course, the camcorder could work very well with a Mac, when you connect you camcorder to Mac with ImageMixer3, it could be recognized as a new hardware. iMovie 6 is unable to deal with your Camcorder files—MPG, MPEG-2, AVCHD. Only iMovie 8, iMovie9 are able to do it. So you must convert MPG to MPEG-4, DV or MOV.

Recommend: A excellent and easy enough Mac video converter could hand the conversion between all the video formats like MPEG, MPG, MPGE1/2/4, H.264, AVCHD, MOD, MP4,MOV, TOD, etc and you can get the videos without losing quality to import to iMovie, FCP, FCE, etc. It supports all the camcorders video formats from Sony, Panasonic, JVC, Canon, etc.
